It felt SO good to shake the rust off and paint last night after months of being away from my art supplies while I was in Canada!

I'm back in Boston for the next few months and so looking forward to moving with this spring creative flow.

Yesterday I noticed many thoughts around survival,

Yesterday I noticed many thoughts around survival, fear, scarcity and pessimistic thinking.

My nervous system was activated, and I recognized, even through the fog of anxiety, that this was an opportunity to slowdown, be with myself, and practice observing these emotions from a place of higher wisdom.

By practicing the pause, I was able to remember that I can only come from a dominant vibration of fear or love, and in that moment I was thinking and operating out of fear.

By sitting with compassion with the parts of myself that were feeling fear, I began to shift back into the vibration of love and trust.

We can experience tastes of a more enlightened state of mind, and still have moments where we forget the truth.

With patience, gentleness, and most importantly, a determination to practice compassionate awareness and OBSERVE our thoughts and feelings, we become less attached to those moments of forgetting and more in harmony with the truth of our soul.

It takes a conscious effort, day by day.

Especially at first 😉

The good news is, when we understand the concept of neuroplasticity, we understand why it has been proven that shifting out of fear and into love gets easier over time.

Think of it like a muscle we can strengthen by exercising it daily.

This is why the precepts advise us to let go of anger and worry, be grateful, practice diligently, and be kind to ourselves and others.

What may seem at first to be very simple reveals itself with practice to be the key to living a harmonious and balanced life.

Just for today ☺️🙏

When we work with Reiki, there is a blossoming of

When we work with Reiki, there is a blossoming of our inner spiritual gifts that comes as a natural result of our practice.

Clairvoyance, clairaudience, claircognizance, an experience of being divinely guided, powerful dreams are all very normal and natural for us as human beings, when our energy is clear and flowing well.

These experiences are beautiful, interesting and can be potent to share. They can shift the trajectory of our lives and help us to find purpose and meaning.

AND

They can quickly become something that we become attached to.

If we chase these experiences, or assign too much importance to them, we can risk making them the goal of our practice and lose sight of what it means to be a grounded human who is here to taste the divine and work in and on the earth.

It's both.

It's very common to see spiritual practitioners who want to disconnect from their humanity by overly identifying themselves with the angelic realm, or as starseeds or mermaids etc etc.

I'm not saying that there aren't incredible divine and mystical experiences that are related to these beings.

What I am saying, is that as healers we need to cultivate the ability to remember our humanity and be good humans.

If we dissociate from humanity because it has painful aspects, it is much harder to function, be of service, help and be a good person.

It is much more meaningful and helpful to enjoy those divine experiences when they happen,accept that they will not always happen and be okay with that, and then take the nectar from those glimpses into the Divine and use it to refine yourself as a better person.

Be the human you want to see in the world 💜

Was scrolling in a salt bath and saw a great post advising about a somatic way to move angry energy out of your body. It was useful info but missing a huge next piece - listen through this reel to understand what comes next if you're going to do practices like these.

If you're going to start playing with energy, get GOOD, SOLID, GROUNDED, TRUSTED and THOROUGH training from an expert. Energy is potent and dabbling without a clear understanding of the how and why behind your techniques can lead to unintended consequences 😉

I want to reiterate, I thought the post was fantastic and useful! However it opens a door that many could go stumbling through without proper knowledge.

Getting set up to handcraft some reiki infused cleansing and grounding mists for the students of this month's classes!

I often will intuitively create custom sprays for each class that the students can use during class and take home afterwards 😊✨️

Blending herbs, oils and crystals to support intention and clear energy is something I love and am quite skilled at.

Students often remark how much they cherish these sprays, and how much more potent they seem to be than others they have tried.

Being infused with all the group Reiki during the class weekend certainly helps, too!

As we prepare to enter 2024, I'd love to take a moment to introduce myself for any of you who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet 😊

My name is Krystle Ash, and I'm a Reiki Master-Teacher, Pranic Healer and Intuitive Artist based in Edmonton, Alberta. I teach Usui style Reiki, with a focus on hands on and in depth, in person group training. I have been teaching Reiki since 2012 and am a registered Reiki Teacher with the International Association of Reiki Practitioners.

I love giving students a direct experience of what is being taught by focusing on practice. I will tell you where to look, not what to see. I believe that you have your own inner Teacher, your own innate Reiki, and that is your ultimate guide. I will show you how to connect with your Great Bright Light.

Reiki and Pranic Healing healed my life, and taught me how to navigate mental health and life in general from a place of empowerment, compassion and authenticity.

My approach to this work is grounded, gentle, warm and potent. We build solid, grounded foundations through our practice and the precepts so that we can remain effective and be of service when our Reiki experience eventually opens us up to higher levels of awareness and spiritual truth.

Creating art and traveling are some of my favorite interests, and I love to paint with watercolor, resin, wax and crystals. I deeply cherish plants, trees, and animals and strive to live gently and with integrity.

My time is currently spent between Boston and Edmonton, with group reiki classes in Edmonton offered when I'm in the country.

There is a level 3 class coming up Jan 12-14, 2024 and a Teacher training Jan 26-28. Pm me for more info or to register.

Gratitude in the heart, kindness on the lips, light in the spirit.

Grateful for waking up, for a warm house, for food to eat, clean water to drink, for having enough to share.

Grateful for my mental and physical health, for my parents, for my work, for the opportunity to share my gifts in the world.

Grateful for the love in my life, the unconditional love of my pet, for the friends and community that support me. We support each other. We are stronger together.

Grateful for meditation, for mindfulness, for peace in the heart that flows outward like a beacon.

Grateful for the reminder that I am not the body, I am not the emotions, I am not the thoughts - I am the soul.

Grateful for the ability and the will to give and do good.

Let us take our gratitude, and let it fuel us to do good and help each other.

It starts within. It starts in us.

Our daily Reiki practice, in the form of mindfulne

Our daily Reiki practice, in the form of mindfulness, meditation, hands on healing and weaving the precepts into our everyday life - is a gift to ourselves first.

The fruit of our practice is a greater capacity for compassion. We do not become perfect. Rather, we become more forgiving and patient with our imperfections, while also building our resolve to work towards living more in harmony with the precepts, just for today.

This compassion, patience, gentleness and hope that comes as a direct result of our practice is our true love offering to the world.

It starts with us.

What creates real happiness in our lives? Not fle

What creates real happiness in our lives? Not fleeting, low effort dopamine hits but real, sustainable and nourishing happiness that helps us feel alive and on purpose?

Reflecting on this, I noticed 4 key elements that have been consistent in my life. When I think back to the happiest, healthiest times in my life, these 4 things were always present, and supporting me in that happiness and health.

Movement, Spirituality, Service and Play are so good for the body, mind and soul.

They keep us young and vibrant, filled with enthusiasm and curiosity 😊

When I think back to the most challenging times in my life, when my mental and physical health quotients were the lowest, I can see how the absence of those 4 elements was creating a desert inside of me.

When we are not nourished by these 4 healthy elements, we seek to fill that hunger with low effort dopamine hits in the form of addiction and escapism. Unfortunately, that just doesn't truly work, and when we get honest with ourselves, we see how unsatisfied we have become - because we stopped prioritizing and choosing the things that can actually fill our cups.

How would our mental health and our experience of reality shift if we practiced treating every day like a treasure hunt?

An opportunity to look for Moments of Sweetness, and to seek them out and savor them like a bloodhound?

It could be something as small as the smell of warm bread or the sound of a baby laughing, or admiring a beautiful flower or snuggling with our pet.

Witnessing the softening, the opening, the remembering and the coming home to ourselves that are the natural result of our practice was nothing short of magical.

Such big shifts between Saturday morning and Sunday evening!

Reiki is transformative in the best way.
