Made it to Bangalore, India! I'm so excited to be here, this is where my grandmother and grandfather were from. Looking forward to a trip filled with good food, family, and soaking up the culture of my roots.

Isn't it funny how some places just feel like home, even in the midst of culture shock? Our bones remember, our ancestors feel closer, walking in the places our families come from.

It's been 24 years since I was in India.

Everything is different and yet the soul of India is exactly the same.

Self trust requires us to build trust. Building

Self trust requires us to build trust.

Building trust requires that we listen to our bodies and our hearts, and that we acknowledge the ways we have not always given them what they needed.

We cannot build trust without taking accountability.

When we can see clearly how we have self abandoned or mistreated our bodies and hearts as a form of coping, we can begin to make amends.

Making amends goes far beyond expressing a desire to do better.

It requires us to keep showing up, and keep making good and loving choices for ourselves, one day at a time.

As we build consistency, patterns change and trust is built.

It happens slowly, one bite at a time.

We cannot rush this process.

Self trust is not about treating our bodies like machines that "should" function the way we want them to.

It is about being in right relationship with ourselves and taking responsibility for rebuilding that relationship with love and devotion.

It is a great privilege to be a guardian of a body.

It is a great privilege to be the caretaker of a heart that can feel such love and the full spectrum of emotion.

Just for today, let us be kind to ourselves and others.

Getting outside and moving the body is super impor

Getting outside and moving the body is super important for energetic and physical health.

Pranic Healing teaches us that when we exercise, the aura naturally expels a certain amount of dirty or unhealthy prana.

Science has shown us numerous benefits of exercise such as improved circulation and lymph flow, better mood and lowering blood pressure, regulating blood sugar and more.

These are simply two sides of the same coin.

As Louise Hay said, "Movement keeps us moving in life."

No one else can heal you but yourself. You decid

No one else can heal you but yourself.

You decide whether you want to heal or not.

In order to heal, we must be willing to let go of what made us sick.

Energy healing helps TREMENDOUSLY, but if we aren't willing to make changes, we recreate the problem.

It's probably going to take more than one session to heal a longstanding pattern in our lives, but it's worth it, especially if we're willing to do the inner work and stop sabotaging ourselves.

I have room in my practice to take on one more client who wants to make a change and shift a pattern in their lives through one on one work with me.

What's mine and what's yours? Learning and growin

What's mine and what's yours?

Learning and growing through relating is one of the great gifts that life has to offer.

There are moments where our "humans" (that is, the part of us that is very much still learning and growing) bump up against one another.

Misunderstandings, disagreements, awkward exchanges.

We can't avoid this process completely, and why would we want to?

As Rumi said, "If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished?"

The growth comes when we learn not to take things personally, learn to discern what's mine and what's yours, and notice when our own "stuff" is getting stirred up and causing things to get blown out of proportion.

Or when that's happening with the other person. 😉

When it's our stuff, we take ownership of that, apologize, and grow.

When it's theirs, we give them grace to do the same and learn not to take things personally and let things go.

It's often a blend of both.

The dance of relating can help polish our souls like nothing else.

Keeping our feet planted firmly on the earth while we grow spiritually is essential.

Don't get confused by the fluff and nonsense.

So much of the spiritual content getting churned out lately isn't designed to help you heal and grow as a soul, it's meant to get likes, shares and views.

You might be surprised to learn the secret to spiritual growth is not complicated, it's actually very simple.

Simple, but not easy.

"Just for Today,
Do not Anger,
Do not Worry.
With gratitude,
Practice Diligently.
Be Kind to Yourself and Others."

In Reiki, these are the 5 Precepts.

In Pranic Healing, we have the 5 Virtues,

Loving Kindness & Non-Injury
Generosity & Non-Stealing
Accurate Perception & Correct Expression
Constancy of Aim and Effort & Non-Laziness
Moderation & Non-Excessiveness

They are essentially fingers pointing at the same moon.

It doesn't matter how clairvoyant you are, how big your chakras are, if you're not a good person.

It doesn't make one lick of difference, and can actually take you backwards in your spiritual growth, if your focus is on the flash and not the grounded roots of your soul's true growth.

Root down strong into the truth of your Soul, then as your gifts naturally develop as a result of consistent daily practice, you will be growing in the right direction.

"Today we're going to play a game, where we each p

"Today we're going to play a game, where we each point out as many beautiful things as we can find on this walk, okay?" I say to my husband, holding his warm hand as we walk through the leaf littered streets and make our way to the pond.

Sometimes, I explain what I'm looking at. Other times, I just softly squeeze his hand and point.

Rarely, I take a photo of precisely what I'm looking at and show it to him.

"Do you see things the same way I see them?" I ask him, wondering if there is a difference between what he sees when I point vs. the image I show him in the camera afterward.

No, he doesn't. We are on the same walk, looking at the same things, but my visual frame and the perspective I'm capturing those moments of beauty through is unique to his own.

Tiny differences in perspective can be the difference between something that is unremarkable or something that is brimming with beauty.

Life's like that.

We don't get to control everything around us, but we do get to choose what we orient on.

What we zoom in and magnify.

Just for today.

A couple nights ago, I had a dream, and in the dream, I was receiving a reading.

I asked, "What do I need to focus on next?"

I pulled a card. Beauty.

The reader pulled a card from her own deck. Beauty.

She said, "Now your focus needs to be on noticing Beauty, everywhere around you. In yourself and in the world. In others. In your relationships. In humanity. For what you focus on expands."

I have always loved nature walks, since I was a very small child.

Each walk is a reminder to slow down, to notice, and to vibrate in harmony with the world around us.

To feel ourselves a part of it.

To drink in Beauty like water.

We need beauty, and we need to practice orienting ourselves towards it over and over again.

It matters.

We must be willing to sit with our own discomfort,

We must be willing to sit with our own discomfort, observing it from a place of loving neutrality.

It is only from this place that we can really listen to our difficult feelings and begin to understand the messages they are communicating to us about what we need.

Loneliness, grief, guilt, sorrow, anger, depression and all the other feelings so many of us were taught to sweep under the rug and ignore hold the keys to our deepest healing.

We must be willing to understand that these feelings are neon arrows showing us the places in our consciousness that are crying out for love and connection.

We must be willing to hold ourselves with patience, tenderness, compassion and radical self love.

This is the place where healing truly begins.

Reiki is a beautiful modality that can help provide us with the tools to do this work in a way that feels grounded and comforting.
